Corporate Social Responsibility

The Simpson team recently volunteered with the Northern Illinois Food Bank, helping support families in the local community. Together, they packed more than 4,100 lbs of food, including apples and potatoes, providing an estimated 3,461 meals to those in need. We’re proud to support organizations making a meaningful impact and grateful for the opportunity to give back to the communities around us.

Our Norican CNEA colleagues and their families recently took part in the 2026 Bag of Milk Walkathon in Changzhou, supporting underprivileged families in the local community. Together, they completed the 10 km walk, showing strong team spirit, determination, and a shared commitment to giving back.

Our Beijing team has officially relocated to a new office at China World Tower, moving into a more modern and efficient work space. While the footprint is smaller, the new environment supports smarter ways of working -aligned with our focus on sustainability, digitalization, and operational efficiency. A fresh space, the same strong commitment to delivering for our customers and growing together as a team.

At the beginning of May, we launched a trial at our Primham location using electricity from an on-site photovoltaic system to heat domestic hot water. The initiative aims to improve energy efficiency, reduce operating costs, and lower reliance on grid electricity—without impacting user comfort. When solar production is insufficient, the existing system automatically supports supply, ensuring consistent performance.

Our commitment to sustainability continued with the planting of 2,000 additional native saplings, bringing the total to 6,000 trees under this initiative.

By developing diverse ecosystems - including Miyawaki forests, traditional forests, wetlands, and grasslands - the program supports biodiversity while transforming previously unused land into thriving green habitats. This ongoing effort delivers lasting environmental value and reinforces our focus on sustainable growth.

At our Changzhou facility, we have enhanced the StikoWestofen assembly area to better manage dust by centralizing extraction within a dedicated space.

These improvements have created a cleaner, safer, and more efficient working environment for our teams, supporting both employee wellbeing and operational performance.

At our Simpson head office in Naperville, we transitioned from disposable paper plates and plastic utensils to reusable plates, utensils, and cups across the office.

This initiative reduces daily waste and supports more sustainable working practices. Employees are also encouraged to use reusable water bottles, further minimizing reliance on single-use plastics and helping lower overall environmental impact.

Through the Norican Scholarship Program, we continue to support students from neighboring communities in pursuing school and engineering diploma education. During the 2025–26 financial year, 501 students received scholarships, bringing the total number of beneficiaries to 4,888 to date.

In honor of Jan Johansen, former Director of DISA India Limited and a pioneer in green sand moulding technology, the Jan Johansen DISAMATIC Scholarship supports outstanding students at NIAMT Ranchi, helping them develop the skills needed to shape the future of the foundry industry.

We also support engineering students through our partnership with the Foundation for Excellence India Trust. In 2025–26, 50 students benefited from this program, bringing the total number of recipients to 642.

At our Changzhou workshops, we recycle wooden shipping boxes from suppliers and repurpose them for packing spare parts for customers.

This ongoing initiative reduces waste while lowering the need for new packing materials, delivering both environmental and cost benefits, with savings of approximately RMB 50,000 per year.
